I would just get the new book. Amazon sent me the old one by accident and I
sent it back. It's got everything the old book has and then some. Does it
cover topics that could be on the exam that the old book doesn't cover? You
bet. It's very similar to the old book with additions of stuff like QoS,
VoIP and a little IS-IS.
If you wind up gaining even 1 point on the CCIE lab because of something you
read in one of these new chapters, then it was worth getting the new book.
Just my opinion.
