IS-IS issue

Hello all,

I have an issue with IS-IS. I have 3 routers attached to a token ring.

                         R3
                          |
                 R1---T/R---R2
                   | |
                   | |
                 R4-----------R5

R1 and R2 are L1 and L2 routers. I have configured R3 as a level-1 router
only. So it is learning its default route for all L2 routes from R1 and R2:

10.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 5 subnets, 2 masks
i L1 10.1.8.0/24 [115/20] via 10.1.2.2, TokenRing0
C 10.1.2.0/24 is directly connected, TokenRing0
i L1 10.1.7.0/24 [115/20] via 10.1.2.1, TokenRing0
i L1 10.1.255.4/30 [115/20] via 10.1.2.1, TokenRing0
i L1 10.1.255.8/30 [115/20] via 10.1.2.2, TokenRing0
i*L1 0.0.0.0/0 [115/10] via 10.1.2.2, TokenRing0
               [115/10] via 10.1.2.1, TokenRing0

R3 is load balancing all L2 routes between R1 and R2. I am trying to change
the metric for R2s default route to 30 so that R3 will no longer load
balance between R1 and R2. Instead I want it to use just R1 but have R2
available if R1 fails. Both the "ISIS metric 30 level-1 and level2" commands
don't seem to effect the default route. How can I do this?

Thanks in advance,
JF
