Hi all ,
>From Cisco CD
" In the following example, the set distance is from the least to the most
specific network.
router igrp 100
network 10.0.0.0
distance 22 10.0.0.0 - set the distance to 20 for all networks in
10.0.0.0
distance 33 10.11.0.0 0.0.255.255 - set the distance to 33 for all
networks in 10.11.0.0 /16
distance 44 10.11.12.0 0.0.0.255 - set the distance to 44 for all
networks in 10.11.12.0 /24
distance 55 10.1.1.2 0.0.0.244 10
access-list 10 permit 10.12.0.0 0.0.255.255 - set the distance to 55 for
all networks in 10.12.0.0/16 from neighbor 10.1.1.2 - Am i correct ?
Note In this example, adding distance 255 to the end of the list would
override the distance values for all networks within the
range specified in the example. The result is that the distance values are
set to 255. "
What i don't quite understand is the sentence is bold.
Can some one kindly explain ?
Tks
