All note the other policy - if you do not show for the lab date you will
have to wait six months before retaking the lab test. Which will expire
first the written test or the 6-month wait to retake?

Retakes for CCIE Lab Exam attempts
The CCIE Program has added to the 30 day wait policy to include the
following:
All candidates must wait 30 days in between CCIE lab exam attempts. If a
candidate scores less than 20 points on day one or does not appear for a
scheduled lab date, the candidate must wait at least 6 months before
making another lab attempt. Candidates scoring under 20 points on day
one or not appearing for a scheduled lab date, can schedule a new lab
attempt at any time provided it is at least six months beyond the date
of their previous lab attempt.

Even if it doesn't count, you still have 6 more months. Cisco gives 18
months from written to first attempt.

Subject: Missed Lab Appointment

I have an unusual question I hope someone can shed some light on.

I have a lab exam scheduled for next week. Because of a personal
situation,

there is a chance I will not be able to make the exam.

This was to be my first attempt, and the crucial thing is that I passed
the
written almost one year ago.

If I am unable to make the exam appointment, does this still count as an

attempt, or would I have to retake the written exam?

If someone could shed some light on this for me, I'd be very
appreciative.
I attempted to contact Cisco about it, but it seems they've moved some
people around in the IE program and I haven't gotten an answer yet.

Thanks to all.
