I have configured a bridge group 2 on r4 ethernet - the Bia mac-address is
00e0.b063.d413. Howver in the Dlsw reachability cache for r4 - Local it shows
DLSw Local MAC address reachability cache list
Mac Addr status Loc. port rif
0006.f4ac.bcd5 FOUND LOCAL TBridge-002 --no rif--
When I did the bitswapping from canonical to non canonical it does not match
up. The Mac address that I got when I did the bit swapping for 00e0.b063.d413
was 00.07.0d.c6.2b.c8. So where did the Mac add 0006.f4ac.bcd5 come from.
I have a workstation connected to another router with dlsw on the Ethernet
LAN and I did find it in the reachabiltiy cache in that router with the Mac
address swapped appropriately. Does Dlsw do something different for Mac
address of the directly connected Ethernet port on the router as opposed to
devices or workstations connected to the LAN.
Please advise anyone,
Thanks,
Lou
