always remember the rules of the Lab. If the Lab instructs you to do
something a certain way, then do it. If the Lab does not forbid your doing
something, you have freedom to choose. If in doubt, ask the proctor. there
is always a solution to the problem stated. you just have to figure it out.
in the case below, I was envisioning a trick question, one where you were
specifically forbidden to use the ip ospf network command on any ospf
interface. point-to-point subinterfaces on the frame ( or ATM ) connections
and area range for loopbacks.
if you only know one way to do things, or you are unable to create a big
picture from the fragments that are the lab requirements, you may find
yourself losing time while you rack your brains trying to figure it out.
my opinion - based on my reading, based on what people have said on this
list, and my own trip through the lab. take nothing at face value. always
look for the big picture. there is always a way. it just may not be
apparent.

Is there an distribution filter to filter out all host (/32) addresses in a
routing update, etc?
