Jerry,

What IOS is that ? 12.2..., 12.3.... ?
Is it in the Enterprise feature set ??
I know it's not available now, but if it's 12.2 or 3.something, it may be
available soon.

Thanks.

Groupstudy,
I've got a future release of the Cisco 3640 IOS that has the DNS features
of the old Distributed Director. It has very limited NSLOOKUP
capabilities in the form:

Sprint1-Router#sho ip dns primary www.brookstreet.com
Primary for zone www.brookstreet.com:
  SOA information:
  Zone primary (MNAME): ns1.brookstreet.com
  Zone contact (RNAME): jtoomey.wansend.com
  Refresh (seconds): 21600
  Retry (seconds): 900
  Expire (seconds): 7776000
  Minimum (seconds): 86400

Sprint1-Router#

The awesome thing about this is that I can put DNS on each router and have
different information on each router, depending on which T1 line is up at
the time. I also can expire the DNS entries with a 15 minute timeout so I
have my web site ALWAYS UP.

The rest of the DNS code:
1. ip host www.brookstreet.com 206.4.188.5
2. ip dns primary www.brookstreet.com soa ns1.brookstreet.com
    jtoomey.wansend.com 21600 900 7776000 86400
3. ip director hosts www.brookstreet.com ttl 900

I hope this helps.
