Hi there,
I was looking at troubleshooting excercise 1 on chapter 11 of
Routing TCP by Doyle vol I. It is in relation to redistributing a
connected stub network (192.168.10.0/24) into igrp on the router that
is performing the redistribution between igrp and rip. In the excercise
solution it states that the 192 network will not get redistributed into
the rip domain because of split horizon -. I have set the senario up and
true enough the network does not get redistributed but where does the
split horizon rule kick in -
igrp 1
igrp1/rip rip
forde------------------- mantle---------------------- berra
10.5.2.0/24 | 10.6.2.0/24
|
192.168.10.0/24
router rip
redist igrp 1 metric 5
passive-interface eth 1
network 10.0.0.0
!
router igrp 1
redist connected
redist rip
default-metric 1000 100 255 1 1500
passice-inter eth 0
network 10.0.0.0
I just cant see why 192.168.10 does not get redistributed from igrp to
rip - split horizon ?
Thanks
Ger
