no input error but lots of crc errors?

Hi all.
today while I was working on troubleshooting ATM DS3 internet line, I saw
this "0 input error, 3455 CRC" in the output of "sh int atm 1/0"
I have seen input errors and crc errors increment, but this is the first
time that I saw only crc errors increment.
What could that mean?
