I took ECP1 in March under Fred Ingham. Class was awesome; started 8-8:30AM
and ran until 10-11PM; short lunch and dinner. Fred would have stayed
longer; we were exhausted. Twelve students shared 6 racks, but each student
had a laptop, one through the terminal server, the other via telnet; no
problem for both to keep busy and get plenty of hands-on. There was a
Lightstream 1010 ATM switch, Adtran Atlas 800 ISDN switch, 3920 token ring
switch, and voice modules and telephones in the setup. You got training on
everything you need. I recommend ECP1 beyond anything you could expect.
Every scenario is a challenge and very educational; Fred let us start a
scenario for 15 minutes, discover the problems, then he'd provid some
guidance on the whiteboard if we wanted to pay attention, or we could just
keep programming. Then we'd try his tricks and find they worked, then on to
the next scenario. It's well worth their $4K fee!
