Absolutely! My recommendation:
Since I have found this approach to be met with resistance and general
negativity, I would strongly recommend that you refrain from using profanity
and hand gestures commonly known to be interpreted as derogatory and/or
insulting.
Nevertheless, and intelligent argument as to the effectiveness of your
solution within the constraints of the exam requirements can get you points
that you otherwise would not have earned.
