I kind of like the distance command. EIGRP uses it (external distance 170)
as a built in loop avoidance.

Subject: Route Redistribution/Distribute-list/route-maps

Hello,

In performing route redistribution, say ospf to igrp and igrp to ospf. What
is the best way to prevent route feedbacks, route loops, and other associate
issues.

1. Distribute-lists
2. route-maps
3. Distance command

I had an issue where a router was performing mutual redistribution between
igrp/ospf. Routes that were once learned as ospf now became IGRP routes in
that particular router (routes ospf redistributed to igrp then igrp sends
update back) I later found out that the downstream igrp router with a frame
relay physical interface had split horizon turned off. (I forgot about that
one!)

but to prevent this issue.. which technique is best? I think route-maps
work really well but looking for opinions here...
