Here was an eBay listing for 16MB FLASH for $115 (dutch auction of 100
sticks); no bidders, so he must still have some available. You can contact
him by clicking on his name "ggcrystal":

Also, www.memorypro.com has 16MB FLASH for $194; I've bought from them on
eBay for $135 once and $123 another time; good quality. Contact them
directly at sales@memorypro.com or memorypro@mail.com ... maybe you can get
a deal.

NOTE: The 2600 has only one slot for FLASH, so don't buy an 8MB thinking
you can upgrade.
I didn't do anything special to initialize; just installed, powered up into
boot mode, copied in an IOS from tftp server; booted the rest of the way up,
selected "No" to be helped with building the config, and copied running
(skeleton) to startup. Haven't had any problems.
Good luck. Kym
