Thanks to everyone for the replies.
There are several options for accomplishing what I asked. A standard DOS
command, "fc.exe", will compare files and has various switches for tuning
its operation. Try "fc.exe /?" to see all of the options.
Graphical tools that were suggested included:
csdiff - http://www.componentsoftware.com/csdiff/dlcsdiff.htm
Visual Difference - http://www.mkssoftware.com/products/
MS Word - go to "Tools," "Track Changes," "Compare Documents"
Thanks again to everyone.
Bob
