Guy,

Just curious as to what version(s) of IOS have you observed this
behavior with? In the case where you summarize and the networks appear
in the DB and RT, are the networks inside or outside of the OSPF AS?

Glimmers of a recent thread seem to indicate that 12.1 does a sanity
check to make sure the connected network is indeed external to the OSPF
AS before redistributing it as an external network into OSPF, while 12.0
does not seem to do this check.

?

Mas

Subject: Redistributing connected into ospf

Hi,

When I'm redistributing connected networks into ospf they don't appear
in
the database. This only happens if those interfaces are running ospf at
the
same time. Another thing I've noticed is that if I summarize these
networks
they do appear in the database and the routing table. Can anyone
explain?
