1st Attempt Failed

Just got back from Brussells.

Well I thought I could do this 1st time but I couldn't. I made it to
troubleshooting but missed it by 5 points. I got 75.

So it's back to the books and routers. I can get a date in late November but
I'll try for a cancellation or swop.

The procotors were great. The lab was great. The pressure was intense. I
could do everything but made three silly mistakes.

16 attempted. 8 got through 1st day. 5 made troubleshooting. I know 3 passed
and they were all 2nd attempts. The proctor told me I should be proud of my
efforts. I begged him for my number :-) but he just smiled right back. He
told me it was a great 1st attempt. I told him it would have been great if I
had passed. I tried to claw a couple of points back. He told me to stay
focussed and reminded me that 75 on the first attempt guarantees you nothing
on your next attempt. So I'm taking nothing for granted but I do feel
encouraged. I've worked hard to get this far and the feedback from the
proctors was excellent in that I know what I have to work on. What has been
said before by those who have passed and failed is so true and I don't
really want to repeat it all. The mystery of taking the lab is over for me.

So it's off to work I go!

Keep up the good work on this site. I should contribute more on the list and
I thank all those that make an effort to explain things.

Bob
