You are more than welcome to test your configs. (In fact, I would say you
have a screw loose if you don't). I think the reference to typos is
probably more along the line of an incorrect subnet mask, wrong AS
numbers, incorrect IPX networks, etc.

You have the opportunity to test your setup as long as you have time at
the end to do testing, or test as you go.

Im a little confused on the Lab exam and some of the posts people have
provided regarding it, so i would hope someone can answer my question:

During your CCIE lab when you are configuring the routers, are you allowed
to
test your configuration or are you only allowed to enter the commands you
think will work and then let the proctor see if you entered all the
commands
properly?

Many posts have issued spelling and little typo mistakes. When ever i
configure a router i use the tab key to fully pronounce the command i want
to
use. How is there a typo? With IP addresses on a interface doesnt the lab
allow you to do pings from one router to another to test connectivity? Or
are
you simply allowed to enter what you think is the right config and pray
everything works when they test the communication?

Thanks in advance,
Chris Martin
