Rob,
I saw somewhere where you could take two routers and connect them via the
async cables and then make the two routers appear as a four port frame
switch (assuming each router had 2 serial interfaces). If I remember when I
did it the frame route statments were a bit confusing but it did work. I
finally got a NM-4 for my 2600 so that I could free up the two 2500 series
routers.
I just finished playing with BGP lab and it is late here in Virginia or I
would try to dig up where I found it. If you do not come across anything
let me know and I will go looking.
Hope this helps,
Hunter

Subject: Making a 4 port Frame Switch out of two 1601's
I was wondering is it possible to make a Frameswitch with two 1601.
Frameswitch meaning I could have Point to Multipoint.
Each 1601 has two serial interfaces and 1 Ethernet Interface
I was messing around with routmaps and Frame-relay route but nothing
yet.
Has anyone done this? Any suggestions
Thanks....
