Hello,
in CCIEBootcamp LAB 17, there is a task to configure between R5 and R6
an ISDN Dial-Backup. The ISDN network is in OSPF Area 5.
R6 is not directly connected to Area 0.
There is also the Frame-Realy Hub Router R14, which is connected to
the Area 0. R14 exchanges his Routing-Table with R5 via ISIS.
Here starts the "problem".
If the ISDN link between R6 and R5 is up, they exchange all the
OPSF Routes;
R5 clears his Routing-Table form the ISIS Routes (Admin=115) and
installes the OSPF Routes (Admin=110).
R5 will never use the Frame-Relay connection to communicate with the
rest of the network.
I thought about this solution:
On router R5 I have to change the OSPF admin. Distance to something
greater than ISIS.
On R6 I have to change the cost of the ISDN link, so that the preferred
way of all packets is via R14 (over the Frame-Relay).
Any other ideas to resolve this task ?
Ciao,
Gerhard
