OK The issue here is the SUP III which requires that the terminal is connected
via a normal cat 5 UTP straight cable. There is no 25
way DB interface. To Fix your problem get a cat 5 couple and connect one end to
the octal cable from the TS and the other to a
normal cisco console rollover cable. This will reverse the effect of the rollov
er in the octal cable giving you effectively a
straight through connection end to end. The SUP III was the only console interf
ace I can remeber which appear in this form I guess
so many people complained (I had a customer who wasted 3 hours of a 5 hour down
time window finding this out) that they reverted to
the rollover style port afterwards.

is there anyway to make the cat 5k w/a sup III use the console cable from an oc
tupus calbe connected to a 2511?
