Ok, I figured out why I was not advertising. Task two step 6 ask you to
ping loopback on r1. There was no task that asked to configure a loopback
on r1. I created one anyway and then put redistribute connected statements
under both eigrp and ospf. I neglected however to add the subnets keyword
to the statement under ospf. This caused ospf to not advertise the
172.30.1.0 network.
Now I'll have to see what else I mucked up :-)
