Steven,

I had the same issue with 17, you need to configure a static route to the
200.200.200.0/24 network through r1 s0.1,
ip route 200.200.200.0 255.255.255.0 10.20.1.2

I am not sure why he said the this route will not make it into the routing
table, it showed up fine, I am not sure if you have a default route ,as he
does, if this makes any difference, both routes have an admin distance of 1
, and the way I think of a default route is that if there is no specific
route to a destination, then use the gateway of last resort, and since there
is a specific route to the 200.200.200.0/24, the router will choose the
serial interface to get to it, please correct me if I am wrong......

as for step 18, all you have to do is redistribute connected subnets into
OSPF and that will get the job done, there is no need to filter anything out
since you are running OSPF on all the other interfaces.
