I finally reached the end of my road to the CCIE certification last week in
RTP on my first attempt. Most of the advice I would give has already been
listed in other messages here. There are only 2 things that I would really
recommend in the lab. The first is to double check all of your work as you
go. The other is that if you cannot make something work, step away from it
for a minute. Either get up from the console or at least try to clear your
mind. On both days as soon as I got up for lunch I had thought of something
obvious that I had missed.
