Hello all,
Just to let you know that I passed the CCIE Lab exam just today here in
Brussels.
Although I joined this mailing-list only recently, it still helped to see
what kind of problems other people were having in the preparation and
assess how well prepared I was.
This was my second try, and it really makes a world of difference. I
studied less time than just before my first attempt, but was much more
confident this time (I knew what to practise this time).
What I did different this time? Configured much quickly. On the training
course for my first attempt I was told to spend at least half an hour
reading the test and planning my ip addressing. This time I spent 5 minutes
glancing at the test, scanning for the word summarization (it didn't show
up), so I distributed my subnets according to the restrictions first (for
example the network so and so must have a /something subnet, and then just
raced over the subnet attribution at 1000km/hour, cause its so easy to
attribute subnets when you have a whole class B net and a dozen links.
Cheers and good luck to all candidates,
Josi
