I have used an Arca Technologies unit that I purchased last year for $2,000
Mine was called an Emutel-lite. It was hardware configured so that it will
connect directly into the BRI ports of a 2503 router. An external NT1 was
not required. I have used mine for about a year, and it performs flawlwssly
and is configurable with different switch types ans spid numbers if desired.
They now sell a different model that has the ports software configurable so
you have both an S or U interface. I do not know the cost of the new unit.
Here is the URL.

The company's main office is in Belfast Northern Ireland, as well as having
an office in San Francisco. They told me when I purchased mine, that they
build the units to order.
