A good workaround to this, if you need to advertise the whole network
instead of just the interface address, is to put that loopback into a
different area and then use 'area xxx range...' for the whole network.
It'll be a type 3 instead of a type 2, but the whole network will be there.
(Of course, you may need to slap some virtual links in there if this router
isn't touching the backbone.)
