Yes it is a virtual interface like a loopback interface and you can use it
to practise token ring commands. You can also use them for DLSW. The only
advantage is that you can issue the commands that you would on a real token
ring command so it gives you a feel of things but there is no actual traffic
so you cannot test things out. But it is a nice tool to play with if you do
not have actual token ring equipment.
