Now only u r right , i guess since the router is not having info about the
intermediate link , it is not comparing the metrics but automatic rejecting
the inaccessible router .

GOT IT! I feel like an idiot. I neglected to put neighbor x.x.x.x
next-hop-self between the two routers in AS1 (RC & RD). Without that, they
could not favor the other path, even though we set the MED high, because it
was inaccessible. Try it.
