Another try:

Hi,

Reviewing past postings I have found:

There's a book called Developing IP Multicast Networks, Volume I by Beau
Williamson (Cisco Press 2000). Page 459 will be able to answer your
question.

"The best way to fix this problem is to enable ip pim nbma-mode and move
the Mapping Agent function to the central site network but leave the
Candidate-RP where it is..."

Unfortunately I don't have this book, but I don't think that we could use
Auto-RP in a non fully meshed Frame-Relay if we don't have the Mapping
Agent and the Candidate RP in the HUB, and for this I don't know for what
we need Auto RP.

I have been testing in my lab and the only way it works OK is when you
have the MA and the C-RP in the HUB, it's true that when you configure
the Candidate-RP in a receiver spoke (instead of configuring it on the
sender spoke which I think could be the logical way), that spoke receives
the multicast packets. I can't explain this but is how it works.

My question is that if we have more receiver spokes (I haven't equipment
for testing it) that aren't the RP also receive the multicasts?

I'm using IOS 12.0(12)

Thanks,

Alejandro.
