This is totally off-topic, but I figured with the people I have seen
posting information about the Singapore lab and Beijing lab, there might
be someone here who can help.
We have a client that wants to setup a VPN to one of their manufacturing
plants in Shanghai. They want to use VPN to accomplish this as well. I
have a few questions about this.
What level of encryption can they use for the VPN? I looked at the Bureau
of Export Administrations page, called and sent an e-mail with no
response. I read it that they can use DES, but not 3DES since it is a
fully American owned company.
Also, what kind of high speed lines do they use in China? E1? I have
heard of J1, but I thought that was strictly in Japan.
