if u have an isdn ospf demand circuit router configured for dialer watch & its
got two pvcs to two spoke ospf routers (primary network is an nbma, partially
meshed cloud), then which route do u watch if one spoke router goes belly up? i
f
all remote routes are visible via both pvcs, the watched routes NEVER
disappear...is it possible to watch ip addresses, like maybe the ip address on
the physical interface of the spoke router (so that when it goes down, it
triggers the isdn connection)...somebody suggested configuring a mask of
255.255.255.255 but i don't this would work since the ip address is NOT a route
,
not even a /32 route...timur

I don't think dialer-watch cares which routing protocol you use. It seems
to watch the IP route table. When the last watched route is deleted, the
router dials.

You craft a dialer list that prevents your routing protocol from bringing up
the link. If your list does that for OSPF, it should work.
