I just set up ATM for the first time.
I was thinking the SVCs might be a bit complicated.
>From what I remember in my readings, I was able to get it working just fine:
I did the following steps from memory and got it working just fine:
1) 1 PVC for qsaal
2)1 PVC for ilmi
3)Assign an ESI-address to the router interface
4)Assign a map-group to the router interface
5)Create the map-list and map far-end IPs to nsap addresses (show atm
ilmi-status gets you the nsaps that you need) and don't forget the
"broadcast" keyword.
Is that it? I feel like I should be delving in much further. Of course I
have already read about and understand the implications/issues of routing
and communicating over ATM PVCs and SVCs, but is there anything else anyone
can recommend that I practice or should I just move on to other important
CCIE topics and save the overkill for later?
Thanks.
