Hi Chuck,

It is basically a quick way for me to look through the output of a bunch of
commands all at once. I would be looking for mostly what IOS versions he is
running. Also any differences in hardware revisions etc... There also may
be something in the "show controllers" portion that could be causing a
problem.

Russ, I haven't fooled with show tech much.

What are the kinds of things you would look for in the output - saved to
file, since it is a LOT of lines?

Chuck

Importance: Low

are both routers running the same version of IOS? post a show tech from
each router while they are in a failed state.

Can't duplicate it here. What is your debug ppp negotiation showing?

I got a wierd problem when I did lab.
R1 and R2 connected by serial link ( encap PPP no Chap
). Both routers config IPX routing with EIGRP.
They can not talk with each other. But after you
remove the PPP encap , then everything is fine. I
wonder if PPP can arose any problem to IPX ?
Thanks for help.
Philip
