Yeah, you are right but you can configure packet MPLS
using ATM, Ethernet or Serial Interfaces, using only
36XXs, you do not need a LSR or BPX8650. You have to
be aware of the MPLS VNPs that are also available in
this IOS. Check the following examples:
This is an example of an serial interface working as a
MPLS trunk.
interface Serial1/1:0
description ---- TO MPLS NODE I ----
ip unnumbered Loopback222
ip mroute-cache
tag-switching ip
fair-queue
and this is an example of a VPN(Vrf config)
ip vrf CUST-1
rd 100:103
route-target export 100:103
route-target import 100:103
and for do this you do not need ATM, LSRs or BPX.
