Since you aren't allowed to touch any ATM equipement in the lab besides the
3600 ATM interface I would imagine the only MPLS that could be done would be
packet based unless they had you make the 3600 an LSR of something you can't
see. At any rate, although MPLS theory is complicated, configuration isn't
that bad. Without going into adding an LSC to a BPX (which is definately
beyond R&S) here is a sample config for MPLS with ATM
on LSR1
interface ATM1/0
no ip address
no atm ilmi-keepalive
!
interface ATM1/0.1 tag-switching
ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
tag-switching ip
!
on a BPX LSC
interface ATM1/0
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
tag-control-protocol vsi
atm framing cbitplcp
!
interface XTagATM17
ip address 192.168.12.17 255.255.255.0
extended-port ATM1/0 bpx 1.7
tag-switching ip
!
interface XTagATM18
ip address 192.168.10.18 255.255.255.0
extended-port ATM1/0 bpx 1.8
tag-switching ip
!
and on a second LSR
!
interface ATM1/0
no ip address
!
interface ATM1/0.1 tag-switching
ip address 192.168.12.1 255.255.255.0
tag-switching ip
!

The IOS 12.0(14) for 36XX has Tag Switching(MPLS) and
this router is in the equipment list. So It could also
be asked in the R/S LAB exam.
