I think when these games were developed, it was easier to throw together an
IPX stack than TCP/IP. Note that Doom and Warcraft came out when most
people were using DOS. IPX required only lsl, the NIC driver, and ipxodi.

When I play the network game such as StarCraft, Doom,
why do I have to choose IPX instaed of TCP/IP for local area network ?

Does IPX faster than TCP/IP for Local..?
