Umm, if i may respectfully inquire, how exactly would one get access to
ROMMON when console port is not functional?

Reboot the router and get to ROMMON. Change the config register to 0x2142.
Reload the router, it will boot normally but it will not start the startup
script. Log on as normal. Go to 'line aux 0' and type in 'transport input
all', 'modem inout', 'login' and password xxxx' Once you have done that,
change the config register back to 0x2102 and reboot it again. Make sure
you have are plugged into the aux port with your terminal emulation program.

You will now have access to the router just like over the console port.
