I got my copy and started on the labs this weekend. The six case studies
cover the following topics:
BGP (and tuning thereof [as-path, communities, etc])
Terminal Server config
Catalyst Mac Security
Catalyst VLANS
OSPF (multiple area types, tuning of timers, costs, authentication, etc)
Frame relay
EIGRP
SNMP
Router Operational stuff (logging, etc)
ISDN (with callback)
IPX (with ddr)
IPX EIGRP
IPX RIP
SAP Filters
Subnetting
Serial connections (and interface options)
Redistribution
distribution-lists
access-lists
ISIS (and tuning [authentication, etc])
DLSW
Catalyst operational stuff
NAT
IPSEC
VOIP
QOS
The labs also cover stuff like Appletalk, Decnet, ATM Lane, etc.
Some of the labs require up to 8 routers and one catalyst with a mix of
interface types. The book contains all the labs with solutions and
explanations. The is a reprint of just the labs near the end of the book,
and these pages are perforated.
THe book also contains a CD with all the configs from all the labs.
It looks pretty good. I've only completed the first lab so far. Will do
lab two tonight. So far, it's been worth what I paid for it.

Hello,
I do plan on buying the CCbootcamp labs when I am closer to my date.
However in the meantime I was looking for opinions on :

Cisco(r) CCIE(tm) Lab Practice Kit
by Michael Satterlee, Stephen Hutnik
It just came out and looks like it has 6 in depth labs. Anyone have the
opportunity to look it over yet?
Good bad?
I have access to CCIE All-in-one Lab study guide and it seems like a good
book to start getting your hands dirty in a practice lab environment. But I
would imagine that more in-depth labs would be essential to do once you are
closer to your date. Also the material in the 1st edition of the hard cover
book is a little dated but a new edition is coming out in May.
Thank You,
