Send the configs of all the routers. From R1(headquarters) send debug ppp
negotiation, debug ppp authentication, debug isdn q921, and debug isdn q931.

Subject: ISDN problem need help

Hi all,

I got a very simple ISDN senario,

            R1(headoffice)
           / \
         R2 R3

R1 is 2600 router with 4 bri interfaces, R2 and R3
are 800 routers, each with one bri.
Using ISDN, I connect two branches R2 R3 to R1.
 Routing all using static.
I used dialer ip map, not dialer string, on all the
routers, and encap ppp, ppp chap.

When I ping from one branch to R1, it will bring up
the
ISDN B channel, and I can ping through, all good.

But if I ping from headoffice R1 to one branch,
it will not bring up the ISDN B channel, and cannot
ping through. At that time I debug dialer events and
debug dialer packets, I can see that R1 is dialing to
the branch, and the B channel is up, but after 5
seconds, it shows " ISDN carrier timeout ", and
calling party R1 is send ISDN disconnect. So I cannot
ping from head to Branch.
That time I also turn on debug ip packet, showing
routing is good, but encapsulation failed.

Can anyone help me out!!!

Thanks a lot

Jimmy
