For the terminal server how about a Cisco CS-500? Much cheaper than a
2509-2512 but no wan ports.
As far as ATM switches I have seen many cheap Fore ASX-200BX's along with
Cabletron ATM switches. Both work very well as I have a couple of Fore
200's and a Cabletron 2500.
For Token Ring the Olicom 8600 (I think) and the Cabletron STS-16 are the
same product for the most part. Just some minor menu tweaks. They all use
the BRF/CRF functions just like the 3900 series.
For a Frame Switch you can occasionally find a Cabletron FRX4000/6000 real
cheap. Pain in the ass to configure with a horrible menu interface but it
does work.
