Just got back from the lab in San Jose and I am now
CCIE 6910. I am so happy!!!!!
I wasn't sure when I started day 2 this morning. I thought
I had done good enough to get to day 2 but had thought I had
made some dumb mistakes on day 1. Enough that I thought that
it would make it difficult to pass.
Needless to say last night I didn't get much sleep. I really
though I had made enough mistakes to make it difficult
to pass. I think the first night is the most difficult wait.
So when I got into day two I got book two. This was very
positive for me. I thought if I could get to troubleshooting
I had a chance. I completed the day 2 book and actually found
it easier than day 1.
Then after getting back from lunch I was told I only needed
to get 12 to 13 troubleshooting answers. This was better than
what I thought I would be. I completed the troubleshooting and
actually found over 20 problems. Wanted to be save.
So this has been a two year process with a few bumps along
the way. There was a few times I was ready to quit. And I learned
along the way to just take the failures as a learning experience
and not take it too personal. And also practice as much as possible.
This group has been great for keeping me motivated and also
challenged in my studying. I will still try to answer group questions
but likely not as often.
Time to sit back and have a beer and see if I can get my life
back to normal.
Kevin
