Re: Cisco Lab Prep Side Effects

Over a course of two years I've wrecked my eyes reading the Cisco CD online
.
A combination of poor screen quality and not moving away from my PC for
regular breaks
and eye-stretches.
I now wear reading glasses while at my PC but I agree the quality of the
screen is a huge
contributing factor.
Great !! We're all going blind.

How about glasses? It's been my experience that eyestrain is due to poor
vision and straining to keep things in focus, unless of course your monitor
is really bad.

It also depends somewhat on how old you are. Those of us that are
forty-something+, i.e. bifocal age, have additional problems.

After my first trip to RTP and experiencing Red Paper Hell, I immediately
set an appointment with my friendly optometrist. I told her exactly what
my objective was, how far out the monitor was positioned, Red exam book,
and I have to draw pictures. Probably the best investment I made in The
Process.

btw, the lighting in the new RTP lab is a huge improvement, not nearly the
problem to read as in the old lab.
