Hi all,
I have a fun one right now I though someone might like a CCIE real world
challenge.
I have 3 ATM switches with PVC's between them in a hub and spoke
configuration (NOT FULL MESH). Each of these switches hands off an Ethernet
segment with a single ip address to each site. Each site currently has a
2948L3 hanging off the Ethernet. I want to get any to any connectivity but
cannot change anything in the ATM or Ethernet configuration AT ALL but can
change the 2948L3 or replace them with 2621's. To do this with just a single
Ethernet handoff at the spokes and the hub has got me a little baffled. I
cannot use ISL or 802.1q because of the additional overhead the packets get
dropped. I can get hub to spoke all day long but cannot route between
spokes? In order for this to work there has to be any to any or rather spoke
to spoke connectivity. I thought maybe I would hang some 2621's off the
Ethernet and change the ospf interface type to multipoint on all the
Ethernet segments attached to the ATM switches Ethernet handoff like a frame
relay multipoint topo. If I could add another PVC and full mesh this it
would be easier also fragmenting packets larger than 1500 MTU would make
life easier, or if the handoff was the ATM interface it would be easy also.
Anyway I take it as a challenge and am trying to test this in my home lab
any ideas would be appreciated.

Subject: PPP over Ethernet
Hello,
I was wondering if any of you heard of possibility of PPPOE client being
supported on 2500s? From Cisco's website, it's only supported on 1720s for
now.
Thanks!
