Sorry - you've got it mixed up... the 2926s like the 2901s uses the same
exact supervisor code as the 5000. Try to download it on CCO and you'll see
it brings you to the Catalyst 5000 software download page.

The 2926T/2926F are predecessors of the newer 2926G... all 3 run CatOS/XDI
interfaces. The 2926G is like a 5002 with Sup3/NFFC/5225 but is about
impossible to find used so far, the 2926T/Fs (Sup II/5225) are pretty
common.

2948G/2980G code is based on the Catalyst 4000 (CatOS/XDI based but with
some possible differences in options), and the 2948-L3 runs IOS code much
like the 8500s.

The 2900XL series runs a whole different set of code that is similar to the
3500XL series.

With 4 different codes for the same 29xx series - there's definitely plenty
to be confused with!
