ROMMON on the 4700 doesn't have anything bootable. And a replacement flash
SIMM for bootflash doesn't come with any images either.
The workaround in this situation is that you can:
- enter into ROMMON mode after replacing the SIMM. Do that by using the
password recovery techniques.
- type 'boot flash:xxxxxx', where xxxxxx is the name of the image on
flash. That bypasses bootflash load
- once router is up, copy an image down to bootflash:
