Pinging ip address on local frame relay interface

Hi group,

In a hub and spoke frame relay scenario, I set up point to multipoint
subinterface at the hub. I then configure a frame map statement for each
spoke to its respective dlci. At the spoke, I used physical interface and
map the ip address of the hub and another spoke to the same dlsci.

To ping the ip address on the local frame relay interface, I configured
another map statement on the spoke to map the local ip address to the dlci.
I also configured a map statement on the hub to map the local ip address to
one of the dlci.

These config work fine. I can ping all frame relay interfaces from all
routers.

I got an advice from a senior CCIE, the above mapping config may cause
problem in some situation, but he did not tell me why.

I have tried different protocol and with all the combination I can thing of.
I can not find any problem. Can anyone in the group see any potential
problem in the above config.

Thanks

FL
