Ok it's my turn to send this e-mail. I passed on my 2nd try yesterday at San
Jose and let me tell you it's the greatest feelin in the world to have that
number. Here's how it went down. I walked into day one little nervous but
confident that I know this stuff. As I start workin on the scenarios I
realized this was lot harder than the 1st time. I knew most of the stuff but
there was one little thing in almost every scenario that I didn't know how
to do. I finished exactly at 5. I walked outta there thinkin I ain;t gonna
make it cuz the little stuff I missed and there's no partial credit. I went
back the next day really nervous this time thinkin i won't have day 2 stuff
on my desk, but I was lucky enough to continue on. there were only 2 outta
the 10 people who made it day 2. Day 2 morning was a breez..i finished in
abt 90 minutes and check and re-checked my configs. While I was checkin my
config my mind was playin tricks on me...I was thinkin if I did this correct
or should this config be other way around n stuff like that ..so I decided
not to look at it any more cuz I knew I'd end up changing stuff ..the
proctor told us to go for lunch and come back after an hour and a half..it
was the longest wait ever...I went back and she told me that I have enough
points to go to troubleshooting...after the troubleshooting, she checked my
work for abt 10-15 minute and came back with my number...I could hardly
breath...and that was it...I'm a CCIE number 6821. My preparation included a
7 router home lab and ECP1. I took ECP1 week before my test and it was "THE"
most important preparation tool for me. I don't think I would've passed if I
hadn't taken this class. Thanks to everyone on this list who helped answer
some of the questions and GOOD luck to every1 in their pursuit of CCIE. I
gotta go relax now and catch up with clubbin and drinkin...hehehe
