Also I've an understanding for the way these filters work now. At least it
an understanding that works for me.
These filters work on netbios name queries so to filter PC1 from accessing
PC2 all you have to do is configure
netbios access-list host FILTER deny PC1
netbios access-list host FILTER permit *
and apply on R1 as
int to0
netbios output-address-filter host FILTER
OR
apply on R2 as
int to0
netbios input-address-filter host FILTER
In my lab I had PC1 and PC2 cabled to their token rings the oppposite way
around to how I had diagrammed it. So much for troubleshooting from layer
one up :-). It's quite straightforward when you think about it but did I
have trouble convincing myself!
