Hi,
I've searched the archives for Netbios Filtering for SRB/RSRB and can =
see plenty on DLSW+.=20
I'm running two routers with RSRB running on the serial link.
PC1---------to0-R1-s0-----------------s0-R2-to0-----------PC2
I create a netbios access-list that will list the netbios names I wsh to =
filter.
netbios access-list host FILTER deny PC1
netbios access-list host FILTER permit *
I apply this to my token-ring interface on R1 as
int to0
netbios input-access-filter host FILTER
Now when I try to connect to PC1 I cannot. Debug source error shows =
"failed netbios filter". This is what I expect.
My questions is what does "netbios output-access-filter" do? For =
example, if I configure the same netbios access-list on R2 and configure
Int to0
netbios output-access-filter host FILTER
I expect it to filter netbios name queries from PC2 to PC1 but it =
doesn't. I want to nail just what these filters do and how they should =
be applied. I've tried many different permutations on this and the only =
one that does what I expect is the one above. Can anyone help on this?
I understand netbios name queries/recognized etc and I've looked on the =
CD but I can't get the output-access-filter to work as expected. The =
other real pain is that whenever I try and play around with the filters =
I have to reboot my PCs in order to clear the netbios cache.
TIA
Bob
