It depends on what your plugging in to... Pins 1-2 and 7-8 are the active
ones on the RJ-45 side. Check Cisco's web site for the actual diagram. But
it works fine, the DB9 to RJ-45 adapters are all that I use.

You cannot (I _think_) go directly from DB9 to RJ45 with Token ring. My
reasoning behind this.. I've tried :) turns out you need media filters,
which do the job right. They're really cheap off ebay, and I have a ton of
extras if you would like to buy a couple.
